Looks great , but I guess Adman is right here... a little dirt will make the man look a bit more as a soldier... and don't forget his hands while making the guy dirty...

It has been more then two months since I've posted in this topic.

A few weeks ago I purchased this jerrycan, made in 1943.
The k98 is just to fill up the background, it's certainly not new.

Some equipment, an aluminium Heer belt buckle, a mess tin and a mp40 magazin.

A close up of the buckle, this one is made in 1939.

This is the most beautiful new addition in my opinion, I bought at yesterday at Ciney.

Made in 1944, serial number 3618.

And again, to finish, some deathcards. Including two soldiers of the German speaking part of Belgium, they were forced to serve in the wehrmacht.
After I've seen the collection of mr. Baumgartner here on the forum, I had the idea of making a map of Europe (only the Eastern front) so I can mark where the soldiers died.
I'm busy working on it, as soon as it's finished I'll post the map in this topic.

To kick this topic back to the top, a little display.
Nothing special, just tried to photograph some items in daylight.

Soon I'll post a lot off equipment and personal stuff i bought the last month.

                      Hope you like it!

As I said, some equipment and smaller stuff I bought the last weeks.

Two canteens, a breadbag, MG42 ammunition box with Normandy camo, EKM bag, complete gasmask (original belts, klarscheiben, cleaning cloth and retaining spring and hautentgiftungsmittel present), daimon flashlight, set k98 pouches, uniformhooks, field cutlery and a wallet with wartime coins and personal pictures.

Like some of you might have noticed, I like to collect deathcards from the Eastern front. Not actively, but when I find some nice cards for a nice price I usually by them.

I'll post some of my favorites.

This one I like very much. Alois Redhammer died at the first day of Operation Barbarossa, just when he crossed the border with Russia. Even the case of dead is mentioned at this deathcard, he died by "lungschutz" (shot through the lungs).

This should be two brothers, but they don't have the same familyname? That's at least strange.
They were Unteroffizieren, and the left one was a member of the "Stosstruppen". What I especially like is that they've both a picture on which they'e wearing their helmet.

Beside people who speak Dutch and French, there is also a German speaking minority in Belgium. After world war I it was given to Belgium to compensate the losses in the war. This part was annexed by Germany in 1940 and the inhabitants were forced to serve in the Wehrmacht.
This is a deathcard of one of these men. Interesting about these deathcards is that there's a lot of information on it. I have another one of a soldier from this part of Belgium and it has also much backgroundinformation.

I finish with, in my opinion, the greatest deathcard I have.
This "soldier" died at the last day the German army really fought in the war. He must have been a part of the artillery group that left Freiberg (Sachsen) at 07/05/1945, but died while doing that. He was only 17 years old and died 10 days before he should have turned 18. Tragically...
