Here is a pic of a very interesting medal acquired by a friend of mine, an older fellow. He said it was passed to him from a former guard of a Canadian Nazi Officer POW camp. It was apparently made from a soap mold using metal melted down from toothpaste tube tops (which evidenty were some sort of metal back in the day)......Dated 1942 and obviously one of a kind. Anyone with opinions welcome in terms of what camp he might have been at (camp 44) and whether or not medals of this variety are commonplace. Link:
