      What a lovely looking thing how big is it ? I don't think they would have used this for navigation in any way perhaps a 'perspective' globe ? Or just to view where they traveled perhaps ? I know nothing about U Boats or the 'kit' used is it normal practice to find these on U boats ? Or is this a crew item.

      Believe me it's a pain using the dam maps let alone a globe, not impossible of course but very very impracticle. What's the history behind it ? I like item's like this if you have any information on it please let me know, very interesting.
