      Thanks guys. I think he really enjoyed his time during the war. It was like a big adventure for him. He would always tell stories from the war. My Great Uncle still has his original medals. I noticed that he didn't wear any of the ribbons on his tunic, I guess he left them at home back in Braunschweig.

      This is the last post war Berlin picture I have. I've been told he only went to East Germany twice after the war.
