    Hope you enjoy!

Very nice. All I ever find in my attic is cobwebs and dust.

I regret not being able to help you on the issue of the shield, but this page can help a lot. I hope it goes well

              thanks for the link,
it apears as already told by GWA a Hesse pickelhaube.
thank you for the information.Mine is in really bad state-> shield is broken, no chinstrap, liner is in good codition, out of shape,...
in my opinion still nice for an athic find.

I've never seen the Mg drum before but is apears to be geran and I think it's ww1/2 (?)

              grtz

                  thnx!
this is how you do it:
you ask around with people in your village, city,...
Or ask around social contacts. Sometimes it's a catch sometimes it isn't
I got very lucky to have a friend who's grandmother moved ou her house and aked us to check wether we liked somethings from her atthic and BAM! there it was after quite a search. I think it used to belong to her husband who collected it quite a while ago and lost intrest so litterly threw it in the atthic! I'm quite sure there is more in taht atthic but we had not much time! thanks for replies!

yes I am planning on going back before it gets sold!
I just found out the drum is a Mg08/15 drum.
the belt is marked with a broad arrow-> maxim gun.
it's weird because the belt was inside the drum!
maybe german capture of the belt.
