Hi folks!
It's been a while since i visited this forum!
I live in the south of France at the moment and found an interesting place...
"the shame of France" they call it here and it is unknown for the most among us.
It is a former concentrationcamp called Camp Joffe in the south of France, department Langedoc-Rousillon, Aude , Rivesaltes.
It was build by Spanish dictator Franco in the mid 30's for locking up republic-minded Spanish people. In the second worldwar, in occupied France under the Vichy-regime it was used as a camp for (mostly) jewish women and children.
It was a horrible place and many died overthere. This camp was a "gathering"-concentrationcamp, the last stop before deportation to Auschwitz.
I started a website with my metaldetector-finds a week ago, but i opended a photo-shoot of the materials i found overthere in that abandonned camp.
Feel free to visit my site, more and more pictures will be there the coming weeks /months.
I'm looking forward to read your comments.
