    LW KC winner with OL Heinz Frank

    Heinz Frank was born at Arnstadt on 12 December 1914. His military career begins at 20 years old. He fought with II(S)LG2 in <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:country-region w:st="on">Poland</st1:country-region>, <st1:country-region w:st="on">France</st1:country-region> and <st1:country-region w:st="on"><ST1England</ST1l</st1:country-region><O</O
    During 1941 he fought as member of 5(S)LG2 at <st1:country-region w:st="on"><ST1Greece</ST1</st1:country-region> and Barbarrossa being upgraded to Leutnant. In January 1942 he was Staffelkapitan of 3/SCHG1 from 01.03.1942 equipped with Nf109In Spring 1942 he was kharkov…he was distinguished in Kerch being awarded the KC on 03 September 1942 after more than 500 missions.<O</O
    In November, after more than 700 missions, he was awarded the Oakleaves as 172 soldier of the WH awarded.<O</O
    On 01/06/1943 he was promoted to Major and GK of II/SG 2 Immelman. In this unit he distinguish again in <ST1Crimea</ST1 and was mentioned by WH on 27.04.1944<O</O
    Sadly Frank died for an accidental shot with his own pistol on 07/10/1944<O</O
    He was t more than 900 missions…<O</O
