    Two interesting displays

Here is two interesting displays that I would like to share. The first one is based around the flight helmet and postcard of Hans Dammers, RKT and ace with 114 victories. He flew with Hartmann and was killed after his chute snagged the wing of his plane, Yellow 9 and failed to open after a collision with a shot down Russian plane.

This is based on the soldbuch and awards of Gefreiter Weissinger, who was awarded the sniper badge 3rd class or gold for more than 60 kills. It is the only known entry of the sniper badge award in a Soldbuch. The display shows two grades of original sniper badges. It also includes his black and gold wound badge awards, as well as infantry assault award found folded in the soldbuch. Jacques

Jacques, every time I think I've seen a super display from your collection that can't be beat, you come up with something new and impressive. These are excellent.

Did you take the soldbuch apart so you could display it like that?

Thanx for the kind words, it is much appretiated. It is important to me to make an effort with the display. It honors the items and brings it alive. It is also a way to enjoy the items and if you spent this much money on things you have to find a way of enjoying it.

Richard, just kidding, I never frame original paperwork, those are just scans of the cover, sniper related entries, badge and equipment. Jacques
