    My former Luft display

This is how I once displayed a portion of my collection -- however, today it's all gone into the safety of a bank vault at Bank of America. Not as much fun since I can't see it too often now, but I certainly sleep better at night. Also please see the following ...

Nice collection. You could insure it instead of hiding away in a box and sleep well too.

Beautiful display. Too bad you needed to vault it.

Before I retired from the military and lived on a base, the security was adequate. Today, just way too risky. Sad the way the world's become.

I had a friend in North Carolina years ago who had an entire walk-in safe door installed into the wall where he could go into another room and move about, "play" with his stuff, etc. And another friend in Texas who had a specially-built "jail door" installed into his collection room. Other guys rely on their home security systems, but I figured what the hell. If someone knows you have it and wants it bad enough, they're going to get it.

                  Excellent

                  David,

                  Superb collection.

It appears that many of your Luft badges were in Previtera's new book?

                  Thanks,

                  MIKE

This one belonged to Knight's Cross-winner Rainer Nossek, a Stuka pilot and tank buster on the Eastern Front, i.e., 10.(Pz)/Schlachtgeschwader 3. Shot down by Spitfires and killed very late in the war.<TABLE class="wikitable sortable" id=sortable_table_id_0 style="WIDTH: 100%"><TBODY><TR><TD></TD><TD></TD><TD></TD><TD></TD><TD></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>
