Hello folks,
I wanted to share with you a photo from a non-forum member. This set-up belongs to a dear friend of mine Victor. My friend always wanted a Panzer wrapper but like many of us (myself included) could not afford one. So Victor went a differnt route, which is just as satisfying to the eye and budget. Victor bought the SS M-43 from a US veteran back in the 70's for around $70. The SS steel buckle was purchased for $20 in 1978 and the leather belt and holster were bascially sold to him for under $50. The black U-boat leather outfit was bought from from our dear friend Stonemint, and the Panzer headset (dated 1943) and Panzer badge (the badge came from Gary B) was purchased at the 2008 Max Show. The SS post cards ($5 each) and Panzer DK in black ($700) I sold to him several moons ago. The Panzer figure, K&C Toy soldier, Panzer IV model and Panzer ID disc I gave to Victor as a Birthday gifts over the past couple of years. The map and SS sleeve eagle were free from a US veteran in the 80's.
I hope you enjoy his set-up that was achieved for very little money (relatively speaking everything in the display came to under $3,000). It pays to shop around and have patience for it took 30 years to complete.
The torso was a Christmas gift this year from his family and came from Webster Displays (the figure is Herman).
Regards,
Jody
