Hi Steinar; Nice start to an addictive hobby, the need for Ek's never stops just ask G Stimson, R. Pierce , Daniel, Douglas and many others. My suggestion is to wait and be very selective in your choices as the right one always has a habit of showing up at close to the right price. Take you time and you will have a great collection over time.
Rick:
You are absolute right about that, I've been trying to be selective as well, mainly because I've bought these when I went to Uni (poor), and for myself, a cross needs to be something more than a cross... for example it needs to be either shiny / minty OR with a nice dark patina.
Exceptions are if the maker is somewhat 'rare' or more uncommon, and not too expensive. I would very much loved to own a Juncker ek2, but its too expensive I just got a steady job, but still needs to pay a TON of money for real life stuff things should be better in a month or 2
thats a great collection you've got there steinar, looks like some really nice pieces! plenty more makers to get, schinkels, ubergrosse, rounded3, etc. should keep you busy for the next few years!! good hunting my friend -nigel
I'm happy if I can get 1 or 2 crosses a month. Going to buy a car soon so I gotta set my priority straight will take the final practical driving test next week... can really feel the nerves hehe
