    My Tunics....

I was pulling my tunics out of the closet to take a look at & air them out a little so, I decided to take a few photos to share with you guys.

Let me know what you think.

First is my Geb. Jag. tunic from a Colonel in the 91st Mountain Div. This is private tailored of light weight material....

                Chris - Looks good!

Is there a tailor label with a name in the Colonel's outfit?

No label or name in the tunic. I've put a little bit of time into trying to ID this tunic, but haven't come up with anyone yet.
From what i understand it might not be to difficult as there weren't that many Colonels in this division. Then going by the award loops, well who knows I might get lucky.

Hi Chris, a very nice selection of tunics. I must admit that I like the POA converted waffenrock too .
                      Cheers, Ade.

I don't mean to be rude but I think you should just leave the tunic how it is. Since you are admitting that you will "fix" up your RAD tunic, what makes anybody think the rest of the tunics haven't been fixed up? The tunics that you have for all we know could have been "insignialess" and you just added the insignias to boost the value and collectability.

                        2 cent worth

Thanks Blitz & Adrian for the compliments.

Rolf- Your 2 cents worth is welcome, but none of the other tunics have been fixed up or altered in anyway.
The most I would ever do to any tunic, if I ever had reason to do anything at all, would be to relpace missing original insignia. I understand your perspective, but I don't see adding an armband & unit sleeve insignia for display purposes as an issue. If I ever do have reason to add insignia, I try to replace with the same type that was originaly on the tunic, and then I only pin it on & don't sew it.

I don't really care what people think about the other tunics, I only post these for other people to see and hopefully enjoy looking at.
I'm not trying to make a sale here.
The real issue would be if myself or anyone ever tried to sell a "fixed up" tunic with out disclosing this fact, in which case it would be misrepresentation & fraud.
                          Regards,
                          Chris

                              Researching the individual.

                              Chris,

Nice tunics! One of my favourite tunics in my collection is colonel in the Geb. Jag. The only problem I can foresee researching that tunic is the fact that those boards might have been added at a later time. They are slip-ons if I see it correctly, so, if the original owner was not from the 91st, the award loops might not match up with individuals from that unit. Did that make sense? I’d still look into it if I were you!

                              Cheers,
                              James
