    Hello James,

Here are some pic's of the boxes. Thankyou for the advice, when the coat looks a little more presentable I'll post a pic of it.

    Back to the boxes:

This is the Luft para repro of mine, I'm trying to get as many pic's of originals as I can for my own inventory.........I collect packeted and boxed awards, so I'm building up a picture collection also of them to determine, variations, early and late war and of course repro's.

Does your outer covering look exactly like mine, the designation on yours is impressed unlike my para box, not to conclude anything from that.

You'll notice on my Luft ground assault box the designation for the award is impressed.

On the interior of the retired pilots badge box the blue 'silk' lining is a darker colour just to show as with the originals the fakes vary to a degree.

    I hope this helps a little, I wouldn't worry though you've a great collection.

    Kind regards,

    Marcus

                Para Box

                Hi Marcus,
Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner! Here are two more pictures of the Para badge box. There is a very slight colour difference in the flocking and the inside lining of the lid. The outside of the case looks pretty darn close to yours, but that doesn't mean diddly. The thing I really don't like about my case is that the button is of a brass or a brass coloured material. That, as I've read someplace, is not a good sign!

                Cheers,
                James

                  James,
Great collection, nice to see that you display it and don't have it packed away as some do. May I ask, how long have you been in Calgary? I worked quite a bit with the PPCLI when I was there 91 to 96. I work now at the CTC HQ in Gagetown, this place is swarming with Patricias! Tony http://www.kaisersbunker.com/

                    Ppcli

                    Hi Tony,
I was in the Second Battalion PPCLI in Winterpeg! I belong to the association here and there are still quite a few of our lot out here. I have/had a couple of friends down in Gagetown. Do the names Stander or Clancy ring a bell. Stander is now over in England instructing Brit officers on their platoon comanders course. I actually bought some of your items when you cleared out of thee Third Reich stuff and went Imperial. I think I may have even corresponded via email. You know Floyd Stinson, don't you? I have an item that belonged to you that I obtained through another collector, you should PM about it!

                    Cheers,
                    James

                      Hi James,

Those names are not familiar, but I am poor with names to begin with. I had 45 Third Reich mannequins at one time, all gone since 97 , so items from my "old" collection do pop up now and then. Yes, I know Floyd, a very decent guy. Drop me a PM if you like, or e-mail me at home through my web site. http://www.kaisersbunker.com/
