Putting the Gas Mask Can on was not easy. This took some time to find the right fit. I also had to use Tom's site as a resource.

Here is my last photo and I thought I would take a photo to see how my M40 looked sitting on the Mannequin. Plus, my next posting should be of my new buckle that goes with this. Then I can put the parade buckle away in the cabinet.

My buckle came today and that is one more piece that is in place now. Still looking for a good bread bag??? Anyways, the buckle is just about Mint!

I finally got a piece of red cloth to cover the bubble wrap and the neck. I think it looks pretty good.

Nice setup. In addition to the breadbag I'd get a canteen and K98 bayonet and frog

I have watched this from start to finish and it shows this is more than just a hobby. It is a passion only we collectors understand. Awesome! I need to step up my game a bit!

I like the simplicity of your mannequin display. A head on there would kill it for me. Jacques

Yes, no head on the mannequin for me. I feel that the head would take away from the rest of the setup. Thanks agian to everyone for their comments. I am currently raising funds to get a cased DKIG to put into my glass cabinet. It would be the first one ever for me. 12 years into the hobby and I might get that DKIG yet!

                        Nice set-up Eric!

One thing I'd recommend to dress him up a bit would be pack some of that thin white craft/tissue paper (available at most arts & craft stores like Michael's) in the ammo pouches to fill them out a bit. I know it's a stretch, but I try to stay away from newspaper as the ink could discolor the inside of the pouches. Also, after crunching up 6 sheets you end up with ink all over your hands and you could smudge up some nice white waffenfarbe

Personal preference, but I think a head and apprpriate piece of headgear really puts the piece in context. Still a nice set-up!!!!!

                          Wow

After going through this post by post, I have to say that the work put into this as well as the result is amazing. I think we all would be happy to have a room like the one you made to house our collections It's a shame some of us only have enough to fit into one display :P Congrats once more and keep up the great work.
