Finally, A War Room Of My Own!

It has been sometime, but the time has finally come that I can have my own little war room. This has been in the plans for over two years with the purchase of our house. I have a tandom garage and now I am turning the tandom part in to my room. The room is going to be 11 feet by 13 feet when I am done, minus the built in cabinets I am putting in. This will be an on going thread as I build my room. Now its time for some pictures. Here is the current state of the room with cabinets that I got out of an old building.

On top of the cabinet is my stock pile of carpet for my room.

Day 3, the wall has finally dried and it's time to start building.

This is the foundation for my big built in cabinet that is 5 feet across, 3 feet deep, and about 7 feet tall. The best part about this is that the cabinet was free.

As you can see through the framed wall the big cabinet is finally set.

Day 4, after doing some serious thinking through the night I decided the big cabinet needed to move to the other end. For that to happen I had to sheetrock the wall on the inside and get it taped.

My second cabinet was free as well. We set it as well. It may not look like much at the moment, but this is the best one. Put away at the moment is all the glass shelving that I took out of it. I am really excited about displaying items in this case.

Here is the last photo for day 4. It is the outside of the wall. I will be back later to show you more progress as the days pass.

Excellent job! Going to alarm it, or add fire protection?
