Wow thats a pretty cool collection and very well displayed. They also look to have been well cared for.
Since you seem to have knowledge on these lovely birds...I have 2 questions.
1. You have in your collection this eagle http://jasonr104.webs.com/apps/photo...hotoID=5748874 and i have only seen it two other times. One time it was displayed as political hat badge, another time as railroad police officers hat badge. I checked out some political caps and it matched an NSDAP cap badge. Is it an NSDAP cap badge?
2. Im thinknig about buying a breastbadge and it has a very unusual eagle on it. I have no information on this award. It does however look similar to the small eagle at the top of ur dispaly to the left (above a gold/brass coloured eagle) Please look at the pictures in this thread http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=288557
Any knowledge you could pass onto me would me very much appreciated.
Please & Thank You,
JR

Thanks for all the compliments, guys!
This was a little side project, as my main interest is SS.
I have always loved these cap eagles, and most of them are more affordable than a lot of Third Reich items.
The Diplomat, single piece police officer, and the NSKK, are very hard to find.
As for the questions, I think the eagle in your link is a forestry//postal
style eagle with the head pointing left.
These came in two or three different sizes, (yours being the largest).
It might be an alternate style of political eagle, but I think it is forestry/postal.
As for the breast badge, I'm afraid that I cannot help.
Thanks!
Chris
