    Ideas for displaying berets?

I was wondering if anyone had any good ideas of how to display berets.. I've been playing with ideas for a while now, and I haven't ever been able to come up with a decent looking solution.

    Hi Chris,
I empathize with you. as a high end collector of Vietnamese wartime berets I have had this same dilema. I did a display about a year ago and had to resort to using those styrofoam heads. It worked OK, but had to use too much space to display just 20 - 30 berets.
I don't know what kind of berets you are collecting, but in the future I am going to display mine laying flat. This allows you to see the flash, insignia, and makers label all at once. Which is so important to distinquish the good from the bad.
I can tell you one good tip that I discovered though. When storing my berets I use those zip lock freezer storage bags. Inside of them I place a small piece of bounce, you know those dryer sheets! They make the cloth smell nice and also keep rodents and moths away.

Good idea for storage. Unfortunately, I don't really have room to display them flat. (I still live in a dinky college student's apartment.) I'd prefer to hang them up somehow - but doing that you end up with a bunch of fabric circles on the wall with the interesting stuff hidden away, or you punch holes in them..

I don't really have a huge collection (yet):
      Bundeswehr Para
      Bundeswehr Medical Corps
      Bundeswehr Artillery
      Bundeswehr Jaeger
      Post-communist Polish Infantry
      French Marines
      French Foreign Legion Para

My collection, for the most part, is tied in with my interest in piecing together complete uniforms

      Thanks,
      --Chris
