Danke für Deine netten Worte, Christian. Diese Minis werden zumindest in Deutschland immer beliebter. Und teurer.

              Gruß

                Hi Gerd,

                great collection! Congratulations!
Just a note, Your 4 place bar with the Friedrich August medal on lifesaving ribbon, the ribbon is that of the Kreuz des Allgemeinen Ehrenzeichen, not livesaving. So I assume somebody removed the original cross and put the FAM there.

                Best regards

                Daniel

                  Hi Daniel,

thanks a lot!I did not notice the outer white stripes yet. So is it just a fairy tale, that medals had been awarded at a lifesaving ribbon?. I hope, i can get a Kreuz des AEZ to reconstruct the bar. I got this bar with the document of the RAO from an old man, but you never know, who had this in his hands.

                  Best regards,

                  Gerd

                      Hi Gerd,

do You mean to wear other Prussian awards on the lifesaving ribbon? That happens if a guy already had the lifesaving medal and did a 2nd act of lifesaving.
Such awards happened with the Allg.Ehrenzeichen, the RAO and the KO.
I found a Cavalry Colonel before WW1 who had the livesaving medal, the RAO3, KO3, both also on lifesaving ribbon and 2 turkish lifesaving awards.

                      Best regards

                      Daniel

                          Hi all,

thank you all for your nice and warm words, guys. Feels good, cause most of my friends aren´t really interested in my collection and i don´t know a lot of collectors in this area to discuss Orders and others. Sad to say that i haven´t much time to visit shows or collector-meetings. So i am quite happy, that i found this forum, where real profs can advise beginners of this great hobby. I have learned a lot on this site and i saw collections, that are amazing. And there are a lot of nice guys, who share their knowledge and their treasures with us. Thats great.

I have seen a part of the wonderful stuff, that you (Rick, Daniel and Claudio) have in your collections. I hope, one day i can see them all completely.

Thanks again and all the best

                          Gerd

PS: Yes, Rick, it is my favourite, too. I like these little medal-bars!
