I wish to start this new thread displaying my collection that has evolved over time and is a continuation of another thread, "Mike's War Room". That original thread showed my recently finish room after years of yearning for a area that I could relax and enjoy my collection of 3rd Reich militaria.
This showcase involved hundreds of hours of planning and displays through about 10 years of collecting. Heer uniforms, medals and awards dominate the collection along with signed art from Robert Taylor depicting scenes from that era. This room is a place for me to relax yet be close to my wife and kids who allow me to indulge in my fascination with this era in history. The "Old World" look I tried to achieve in this room gives me that opportunity. When I open the door it allows me to enter a era now fading back into history but the relics contained inside bring that history alive, at least for me!
The "original" entrance.....
