WOW, great collection. The words small and modest just do not come to mind after looking at your pics. Your wife must be VERY understanding with your collection. Or do you wear the pants in the family? Jeff A"Great hunter yes! great fisherman yes! fine figure of a man yes! that is all you need to know" Jeremiah Johnson.

Hi Jeff,
Me wear the pants..........nah never met an honest man yet who say's he does Understanding ummm when she wants to be.
I've a few more bits I'll post at a later date, thanks for the compliments on the collection, I had a better one, that is if they'd have been original. I bought off of one British dealer for 13 years and from a Naval Honour Roll to a spange all fakes.
You name it, Army para, Cholm, DK, Juncker, pilots, p/observer, glider, retired pilots, Navy & Air Force Honour Rolls.................the list goes on. I was gutted to say the least. And cut a long story short thanks to the weight of the forum and persons I got my money back and some of what you see are trade offs too, half the Navy badges I didn't want in that condition, but I'm not complaining, I'm VERY VERY fortunate in fact #%#%@%^ lucky.
Oh and a dd SS '35 and a so called parade helmet, 80% of the boxes were good fakes too.
Here's about 75% of the fakes I had after this photo was taken the guys poached out more.
Take care my friend and have a good look at these

The war merit cross without swords is OK for sure and the WW 1 U-boat, as for the two shields Krim and Kuban I'm still not sure of those.
Like I say there was more a couple of 333 EK's, Demjansk Shield, my numbered PAB's are up in the air another U-boat a second Naval Honour Roll to replace the first fake.............loads.

Hi Tom,
That last pic of the collection is some of what I had and they are just about all fakes, the silver CCC is an RS fake and is some where on the forum. I also had a bronze bronze fake of the clasp in a packet too.
I can send you some pic's of it it if you want, I wasn't so good with the camera back then........but the pic's aren't that bad of it. I got all my money back, or as near as damm it, for 13 years and thousands on fakes. All the pic's before had though are the 'new' collection so far, although I have a few more badges since in their boxes
Send me a pm so I can e mail you, or I'll try to find the thread for you.
Kind regards,
Marcus

Hi Marcus,
As stated a very nice collection !! just a shame you had to tread that perilous path of learning. But you seemed to have bounced right back rather than the many who were to embarressed to admit it and buried thier heads in the sand, or just gave up.
From you posting the forum was a helping hand in this, i am sure many will say "just part of the service" wich is one of the great things about this forum.

Dear Marcus
I have read many of your previous postings with a gut wrenching feeling for you, I have seen you post many items which have turned out to be fakes, simply 1 or 2 could have turned you off the hobby forever. Fortunately you are still with us and have a fantastic collection there. All your items are of very high quality and nicely cased or in their packets. Keep at it, your collection is something to be proud of.
I am sure Stogie Rick would like to pour over your collection and pilfer and pillage the minty cased and packeted awards.
Regards
Dez

This the first time I put all the 'family' out, let's see what the next year brings !
A lot of duplicates but I collect variations of boxes, cartons, and packets rather than maker names. A broad jumble of badges and medals but in the New Year I'll be after the spanges in all forms and whatever mint, boxed or packeted 'low end' army, navy and airforce badges I can aquire...........touch wood and as long as my wife permits me I'll look forward to my first full collecting year on the forum.
I hope you all get lucky in next year and aquire what you desire, it's been great viewing the quality of collections on this forum something to aspire too, thank's very much.
And remember there's no such thing as an 'advanced collector' really, we all would be if we had enough money.........keep it going if you only have one medal, size dosen't matter my wife keeps telling me that
Kind regards,
Marcus
