On a more serious note, wow! that is nice.
That is funny! I wish it were my collection. But it is Tom Hansen's . He is a fellow Iowan and I want to use the Jedi mind trick on him!

That isn't, with respect, a good display. It's just a case filled with expensive items isn't it?

Schmusi, with respect the case is a finely crafted piece made by a retired master woodworker from the finest Iowa walnut. Knight's Crosses and German Crosses are the finest awards so why not display them in the best possible case?
Though I agree with you that jacquesf's display rooms are amazing!

                Jacques , What a fantastic display you’ve created ..a class act. I only wish I had the room to do the same.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o></o>
Framing each Tunic is a nice touch and gives the “feel” that each is a piece of Art (which they are)<o></o>
                <o> </o>
My Collection is in need of some Lebensraum but , my Wife told me if I start with any “expansionist policies” I’d be looking for problems<o></o>

Jacques, I have some questions. How do you mount the jackets in the frame so they stay put and what are the white irregular shaped items on the shelf that look like rocks in your infantry corner. Very nice displays, by the way. How large is your room?

Thanx for all the kind replies, guys. Enjoying my collection is what its all about for me. In other words, I like looking at my stuff.
Richard, the rocks are 1:35 models of assault guns and other armoured vehicles. The tunics are on padded hangers with stiffeners in the sleeves (if required) and the room is 6mx6m. Jacques

OK, now that I look closer I can see the hangers. Great idea. I can also now recognize the models as I take a better look too. What a great room and with 6m X 6m, lots of room to display. Really great job and very professional looking too.

jacquesf: your collection is awsome (I might as well say it again!).

How did you get those frames? Were they all custom made? I see a lot of photo/medal groupings and I'm assuming they are also custom made frames?

Seriously, did you look at the inlay work on that case........

jacquesf, seriously I don't even want you to adopt me. I just want to be the unsalaried curator I'll live out back with the dogs

Damn that room just keeps getting more and more impressive !!!!!!!!!!!!
