    Wound Badge Display Case

Tonight I fouind this display case at Hobby Lobby! If you are unfamiliar with the store, they carry, picture frames, flowers, arts and crafts, scrap-booking materials etc. The case is intended for model trucks but you can see what I use it for!! Originally priced at $25, it was reduced to 6.99. When the woman working the register rang it up, it dropped another 50%!! What a steal!! I think it makes a nice display, especially if you have a light nearby. I may have to buy another at that price!!

    Good idea!

In the same vane, I went to Michaels Crafts and they had a 50% coupon and I bought a nice, 24X20 cherry wood, riker mount $14. They had a shadow box for hot wheels that hung on the wall. I wonder if it could hold medals? I guess the slots would be too small for a medal but easy for a tinny.

        Hi Steve:

I saw a similiar case at Hobby Lobby!! A few other cases I thought might be useful are football ones, with the glass top and wooden base. It would nice to put a visor in or a overseas cap (m-34 etc) with other infantry medals/cloth surrounding the case. I was hoping the store would have coin easels. I have an online source so no problem!! Nice display!

I saw the foot ball cases but you would have to figure out some way of mounting the hat so it would sit low in the case. Those craft stores are wonderful places to shop for display cases. Here at Fort Lewis there is a surplus store that has full counter top display cases just sitting out in the rain. I would pick a couple up my self if they would match my furnishings.

              Chow!
