All newsprint made in this century will eventually turn yellow and brittle as some of the sulphuric acid used to break down the wood pulp remains. It cannot fully be washed out at the time of manufacture and some is always present in the fibers. That small amount of remaining H2SO4 is what degrades all old newsprint and cannot be prevented unless you use a de-acidification spray directly onto the paper, but that is not everyone's choice.

The ultraviolet rays of the sun impacting directly upon the paper will greatly speed up this reaction, as will exposure to air, (and heat) so mounting the newspaper behind a protective case of UV blocking glass or plexiglass is definitely a good idea. Even ordinary incandescent lighting will have a negative effect over a long time. If the medium does not incorporate the UV blocking agent, just keeping the case in shadow or away from any direct light source should do.

Hanging the case vertically on the wall would display well, but you then risk damaging the paper under the effects of it's own weight. Best choice would be a table top case constructed at an angle such that the rear of the case is higher enough than the front. This would allow the newspaper to lay flat on an acid-free paper flooring without sliding forward while allowing you to easily view and read the object.

          Hello,

If you treasure it that much than hang it on the wall and enjoy it; don't concern yourself with deterioration over the years.

Frame it and hang it in an area where direct sunlight will not hit the paper.
