Like Robin, I was able to acquire an original 'length of ribbon' which completed my 1st pattern cased Blood Order - thanks to Jon Fish for helping me here (Actually, the case came from Robin!) And Yes, that's the very same blood order in wear in the period photo

The third 'favorite' addition this year was actually a gift from my good friend, RaymondG - a copy of "Papers, Please" sent out of sheer kindness and as a gesture of our friendship. Thanks again for that, mate!

As for next year, I'd like to find a "Das Reich" Soldbuch to a Infantry soldier, a tunic-removed vertical SS-TV collar tab and a cased DKiG.

            Here's to '08!

It was actually a slow year for me since I spent the first half in Afghanistan, but I recently added a EKI, EKII, KVKII w/swords and some smaller field gear items. I will pick up a few low end medals to round out this year.

              Cheers,
              Johnnie

My God people! did you all leave anything for the rest of us? Some very nice stuff.

If you want only 3 items then this could be hard. I sould have taken a group photo of all my stuff.

Anyway, Here is a few of my best starting with a SS watch coat. Not so much the item but the price and quality of the item puts it at the top of my list. Also this is the only SS uniform item in my collection. I don't collect SS so this is special!.

Next is one of my 5 new Heer tunics this year. M43 near mint with factory applied insignia. Just an all around sweet tunic.

Steve that is an incredible m43!! For myself I purchased a few crosses and a couple of Panzer badges nothing fancy. But I did meet some nice collectors off the forum. So heres to 2007 and to the years of collecting to come!!
                          Cheers,

It's a pleasure to see what we've accomplished this year regarding militaria. January marked the beginning for a fine year with the arrival of a cased EK1 from Wächtler & Lange. But the outer carton is just top for me! The cross is unmarked and the type with the round catch. Thank you Harry for bringing this set to my attention

I've been focusing on ribbon bars too, with quite some luck to acquire the top left bar (one that has been identified!). Yet, I find the others appealing as well
