Well, '07 has been a very good year for me. I managed to pick up a very nice model 33 serialized SS Dagger (by Herder) with a vertical Assman hanger. It is by far one of my favorite additions and I was simply thrilled to add it to my collection. Thanks goes out to Paul Hogle for this one

Like Robin, I was able to acquire an original 'length of ribbon' which completed my 1st pattern cased Blood Order - thanks to Jon Fish for helping me here (Actually, the case came from Robin!) And Yes, that's the very same blood order in wear in the period photo

The third 'favorite' addition this year was actually a gift from my good friend, RaymondG - a copy of "Papers, Please" sent out of sheer kindness and as a gesture of our friendship. Thanks again for that, mate!

As for next year, I'd like to find a "Das Reich" Soldbuch to a Infantry soldier, a tunic-removed vertical SS-TV collar tab and a cased DKiG.

    Here's to '08!
    Rob

I've only been collecting for a few years, but 2007 was a huge year for me in terms of what I put in my collection. I am primarily an EK collector, but dabble in some other items. I really boosted my Iron Cross collection with many quality pieces. My wound badge collection also got a boost including a sweet Gold version in Tomback. I will post 3 of my pickups, although it's hard to pick my favorites. Instead I will show 2 non EKs that were on my wish list for awhile. First is one of my favorite designs, the Auxillary Cruiser badge. Next to the Anti Partisan badge, this is my favorite. It's unmarked in zinc by an unknown maker, with 2 piece construction.

Here's the rear. The maker has not been determined.

Another of my favorite TR badge designs, The Panzer Assualt badge. This is and unmarked by Frank & Reif in bronze, although that's all worn off. Although zinc, it still looks good.

Finally, a nice and hard to find Imperial EK1. This one cost me but doesn't show up too often. It's marked J H Werner on the rear.
