    Folding Entrenching Tool

Having really just starting to collect, I am wondering how I can find out about my Entrenching tool I just purchaced. It appears by my by my research from another site(retail) that my E-tool is German. However, it has no Waffenampt. It does have the date of 1940 and a circular mark with lines in the center that make a triple"V" with other"V's" coming from the other lines. How do I verify the making? where do I go for more reference?

I don't know anything about German entrenching tools but I'm sure a
    picture would help.

yes, post this in the equipment discussion section for best results but I have a feeling this is the marking you have. am I right? if so, yes, this is a period produced German piece. if it has the "H" as mine does here that stands for Heer issue. Glenn

Yes! That is it. Though I do not have an "H". I can not believe it, and it is basically mint. Sorry about putting it in the wrong place. I did send a pick on the attachment someon sent, but I do not know where to look for it. Thanks Guys. GDmortarman (Scott)
