Verdinaso membership book signed by Joris Van Severen
I've put on my weblog an original Verdinaso membership book.
One month before his dead Joris Van Severen earned the membershipmoney from this member. In may 1940 Joris Van Severen was killed by French soldiers in Abeville.
In 1941 Jef François earned 1000 Bef from this member. This amount was a terribly high amount. Jef François was also a leader from Verdinaso, later officer of the Flemish general SS and then Ostub Flemish legion..!
I'm happy finaly to purchase the original Tk honour ring of Conrad Schellong who was the commander of the Langemarck and KC's winner. I've put some pictures on my website : www.military.be
Hi Luc (and others),
Nice I discovered this special thread on the Flemish Legion. The father in law of my eldest brother served in Standarte Nordwest; later Frw. Leg. Flandern and finally the Sturmbrigade Langemarck, surviving the war as OSchaf. Spent his time in Beverloo Camp and died in 2005. Got some items via his family and his widow still has his nice personal photo album.
I also had the honour of meeting Remy Schrijnen (Last Knight of Flanders) a few years ago in Hagen were he lived with his charming wife Joanna.
Though my collection is mainly built up around wartime signed Hoffmann pictures, I do have some interesting WSS items like a Langemarck uniform with the well known trifo's collar tab.
I will share some other items in this and following posts.
All comments or questions welcome.
Houzee!
