    Mannequine leg problem

    Hi mates,
I have bought this mannequine .It is very nice for the cost of 120 dollars-a new one-but the problem is that it is too wide in the ankle area to put it into a boot ant lace it-after cutting down a sole of course.I plan to cut it high enough above the ankle and attach a wooden stick inside and rest it inside the boot.It be loose in the boot to be able to lace the boot.Have you got any different idea how to solve this problem.Do you like this mannequine for such money?
    Bye Petr.

Hello Petr Did You Buy This One From Ebay ? I Was Thinking Of Buying One Myself How Does Everthing Else Fit Tunic, pants Ect,?how Does It Mount To The Base It Looks Like The Rod Goes Through The Bottom Of The Foot ?if So I Was Going To Extend The Rod Up The Back Of The Leg And Strap It To The Leg With A Big Hose Clamp And Then Tape It So It Would Not Snag The Trouser Material?

if the rod goes through the heel how do you get a pair of boots on with out cutting a hole in them ?

As I wrote in point 1 I cut his legs above an ankles completely. After that finished I inserted a wooden sticks of proper lenght inside the legs. They can rest there loosely or you can attach them by foam for building purposes-it is in sprey and it fills various gaps, quite a common thing. After that I put loosely-slip on a boots,I lace them and put a gaiters. With jack boots the situation is easier. If you would not do such trimming you would not be able to put on an original boots and would not be able to lace them or use a jack boots cause nearly all mannequines sold have very thick calfs if you uderstand what I mean.
After all this done a mannequine will lean against a metal stick/under the belt from outside/soldered to metal sheet base. That is my way of doing.
          Best wishes Petr.
