      Hi Petr,

I would take them outside ( if the weather is ok ) and hang hand it over yhe same line as you would hang your underwear

Outside always gives the best results.

      Best regards,

      Niederlande

Yes,this is the dutch way of displaying even better with unwashed underpants.
Nied I like your joking, but I ment it seriously. It is not easy to hang up somehow about 40 zelts mainly SS ones.Another idea?
        Bye Petr

Heinrich's suggestion is proably the most practical...but here is a crazy idea. Maybe not so crazy.

Remember how posters are sometimes displayed in stores in a hinged rack that buyers can stand in front of and turn the pages like a book? I've also seen this done with flooring samples and carpeting. If you have sufficient space, I could see hanging these large triangles of cloth from a similarly hinged rack that would allow visitors to browse your collection and be able to view both sides of the zelt.

Here's an example of what I'm talking about:

I'm visualizing a giant version of one of these only with a top arm that each zelt would hang from. This company is in the US and offers customized displays. I'm sure there are similar commercial display companies in Europe that do the same thing. If you are good with tools, you could probably design and make one yourself.

            Hi Petr,

Forgive me, for I didn't know that you have a collection of 40 pieces.

I thought that you only wanted to display them for photography

A Friend of mine uses a washing line to display them before making a photo of it.
Now I understand that you have 40, or maybe more of these zeltbahn's.
I would make a wooden frame for each one of them to display them.

I don't know how to explain to you in good English, but the idea that I have would be like when you want to dry a skin of an animal.

I think that it will be a big job to do so.
But if you only want to display a couple of them, the others need good protection from temp. differences and moisture/humidity.

            Best regards,

            Niederlande

I just noticed this same display manufacturer makes rug and fabric display units that will hold small area carpets. I think something like this would look very impressive holding a collection of 40 zelts. In fact, you could double your display space by buttoning 2 together to form a rectangle on each swinging arm!

                Petr,

Hello, I hope that this helps and gives you another idea on how to display your zeltbahns. The wood base is about 12" by 12" with a wooden post attached to it, then drill out the center and insert the threaded rod. Once that is done, then mount a Webster's display half torso styroform mannequin bust ( I use these, due to keeping it from being too top heavy and falling over). I know that the picture isn't the best, but if you look to the left you will see it standing. If you would like I can get some better pics tomorrow. Regards, Grant
