this pair of felt boots has nicest producer marking i have seen so far-burned writing into painted leather,interesting too is an oakleaf print on the sole-reason unknown to me..

Some tanneries used and are still using today to print or burn their logo on the leather. So you might ending up having the print on a sole etc. if you cut the leather from that part where it lies.
