    Show us your relic badges

I'm always fascinated by relic badges, and i keep some in my collection whenever I have the chance to trade/buy from a reputable relic hunter or even find myself.
Do you have any in your collection?

I will later post some of mine

    Cheers

      Nice finds !
I also use to go sometimes in training camp areas. most of the times, you find buttons only, but I know there were some lucky finds there, and it's still fun anyway

Yes, I've searched a few disused training areas. Got sick of cartridge cases screaming through my earphones at me from deep in the ground every other step You can't even filter them out because they scream the same as copper coins.

Yeah, I agree ....they sound like good metal and there is nothing you can do to discriminate, you will lose good stuff too. the fields I know, where used during ww1,ww2 and even later by us troops, so you have a free choice of empty shells But you can also find cap badges, insignias, coins, etc.

a tinnie that have definitely seen better days

I have only found two badges over the years, both in southern France, and both in graves. (dont worry, the bodies were taken care of properly http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=194678 http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...ight=volksbund )
Although both badges are in rotten condition, I know on what day and where its owner was killed, and by who.
Here is the first badge, found in a grave at Villeneuve-Loubet. The owner was killed in combat against the First Special Service Force on august 26th 1944 by multiple shrapnel wounds to the head, both legs, and probably other parts of his body.

The second badge is a very damaged hitler youth badge. The owner was killed during an engagement with US paratroopers.
