I personally think it is important to place the objekt in an interesting environment, eventhough the mental focus on the objekt might be lost... just my two cents

Hello! A wonderful threat! So many fantastic photos! I love the darker photos of some settings. It gives the items some more "gravity".
But i also wanted to photograph some items of my collection in daylight. So you have more accuracy about the colors and better view of some details.
Here are some examples. Please let me know what you think. ( I am no photographer pro, neither do i have a camera. The photos were taken wit a Samsung S9 + mobile phone)

Thank you for your input Eric. And yes some good phones can take decent photos. Of course they dont compare to professional cameras but i believe it is enough for my purpose.
