    mannequin boots question

Hey guys, Im building an original SS trooper on mannequin and have obtained a pair of boots from a site member that may or may not be wartime but are pretty much textbook for display purposes. Im considering purchasing the "flexible male mannequin" currently on ebay due to adjustable elbows shoulders and hands, however the feet concern me as Im wondering are there any tricks to getting them on a mannequin? Im probably going to have to put a hole in one of the soles for the platform rod so Im thinking Im going to have to split them down the back to insert the leg/foot of the mannequin, as the foot does not flex or adjust? Ideas?

I wouldnt drill a hole in anything!!!!
If anything look for a mannequin where the support rod goes to the lower back, that way you can still put pants and a tunic and it wont show in the back and wont need any cutting or drilling. To put boots on, you might have to cut the feet a bit so they slip on without damaging them.

      Mannequin

Yes feet will be first to go but the mannequin is unique and should be poseable to hold an MP44, may just forget the platform and wire him so he balances in a corner or something, do a search on ebay of "flexible mannequin" and other than the face looking like "Boy George" its the best one Ive found for what I want to do, can always roughen up or redo the face.

You Have To0 Cut The Feet Off, No Way Around It If You Use Boots. Webster's Display Mannequins Work Really Good Because They Have A Rod That Attaches In The Lower Back And You Don't Have To Cut Into Anything.

          Websters

Yes Ive used websters for half mannequins but dont think they sell any with adjustable load bearing arms so that figure could be at port arms with the MP44,,,havent checked in awhile though, quit using them when my Japanese mannequin came with half the paint still on the packing materials,,

They Have Copper Tubing Arms Which You Can Bend And They Will Hold A Gun. If That Was The Case With The Jap Mannequin You Should Say Something, Dave Would Make It Right.
