I've been thinking about doing something for my medals to display them better and now I'm finally gone from words to action I've bought a sufficient quantity of lovely dark-blue velvet(Iron Cross velvet ) and I am going to decorate the section for medals in my display cabinet with it. Now here is a crucial question. Since my medals are allready protected by the glass of my display cabinet, do they need fourther protection? Can i safely put them for display on the blue velvet with on the glass of the cabinet protecting them? Experts give me your advice and thank you in advance

I think it depends on the humidity. I had to move mine under glass for two reason. Dust! and the maid who would with one hand push my medals aside, spray pledge and wipe!! Now she can't hurt them. The larger glass case should be just fine and would provide just as much protection as another display within the display.Greg

Well, the enhancements are in place and it's ready. I can tell you that the result is.. Oh, there are no really good words to express my opinion. Lets just say that when i first got a look at my iron crosses in the middle of my cabinet, there were tears in my eyes. They are so beautifull! And with all my other medals in place, surrounding the EKs, it was and is breathtaking! I never thought that my tiny collection could look so stunning. All I have to do now is to increase my collection and more importantly, take pictures
Thank you for all your help
Ps. there is one 39' EK 2 on it's way, it will arrive prolly sometime next week and increase my EK familyAntti
