    My Collection, Updated!

I originally posted my collection a few years ago. Since then, I have narrowed my interests to a few focuses, versus simply grabbing everything I can when I can.

My two main focuses are Luftwaffe and Wehrmacht Medical. I will hit the highlights now and and things here and there as time permits.

I will start with my Luftwaffe focus.

Here is my sonderfuhrer tunic. This tuchrock came directly from George Petersen's collection back in Jul06. This is the only Wartime Official tunic I have ever seen outside of period photos. There are no award or ribbon bar loops. There is some minor moth damage to the lower left pocket.

Please forgive me if the manniquin appears mis-shapened. I used pillows wrapped in a blanket as a support.

Here is a close up of the insignia "trifecta". Notice the early blue and silver tab piping. Also notice the dark green "admin" waffenfarbe collar piping. The rank is for a Feldwebel.

Intersting how the shoulder cord is sewn into the tunic. Very well performed.

Here is my newest arrival. This is a complete uniform for a Luftwaffe Band Master. There were not too many of these officers. This is only the second tunic I have seen.

As you will note, the waffenfarbe is yellow. Band members and leaders wore the waffenfarbe of the unit they were attached to.

The uniform is very small. I would have to use a manniquin of a small pre teen in order to display it. The tunic is unmarked, except for a tailor tag that indicates it was made in Gent Belgium. The ribbon bar came with the tunic.

The material is definately made for a cooler environment as it is THICK and HEAVY!

Here is a close up of the tunic. I placed a DRL badge in silver in the existing loops.

Direct shot of the shoulder board... I am sorry for the blurry picture. I could not get a nice crisp photo for some reason

Here is a medical tuchrock. For some reason, the collar is unpiped. There is no sign that piping was ever there.

                        Thanks Glenn,

I appreciate the comment! I have a lot more to share...

There is another view of the tuchrock.

One of my favorites, the medical fliegerbluse. It is badged for a Major. The EK ribbon seems to be original to the tunic, as it seems to have the same amount of dirt/wear.

An old shot of my Flak Fliegerbluse. "Stuffing" tunics can be a bit tiring/time consuming. There are no badge or ribbon bar loops on this one... just the way I like it.
