Just saw the thread...
Tyler, Johannes is right, your plastic guys are Airfix knock-offs, the originals were of much higher quality. Boxed mint or near-mint Airfix sets are still available on Ebay and not that expensive.
Toy soldiers were my addiction before I got into German militaria, I still have a rather large collection (mostly tin/lead, 54mm Germans and Napoleonics). I lost a lot of plastic boxed sets (some quite rare) in a break-up with one of the psycho girlfriends (long story...) but I still have all the metal ones.
Eric or Gary: the large grey soldier was made by Marx in the 60s, it should be stamped Marx on the bottom if its original.
Ralph: thats a very nice Elastolin or Lineol piece you got there, hard to find with flag intact and no paint loss. Is it marked on the bottom?
Bought this little fella in the early 90's in a small antique-shop in the ' Elzas', France.
1/35 scale 'Good Old Monty' = Montgomery

It looks old for sure, but's not dated
Sorry for the bad quality of the picture
ps : does somebady has ' DEETAIL', ( Britains LTD 1971 ) figures? I know that they were quiet expensive. I had around 50 of them when I was a kid, try to find them...
