    Displaying documents...

I have some documents I want to put in a deltof. How can I display them as a sort of backdrop to my medals in a deltof?

Scan the originals, and print out copies. That way you can tape 'em, glue 'em, fold 'em, tuck them behind stuff, anything you want.

No worries about tears, damage, or fading due to light in the room.

Good question - I have considered the same. I was thinking about going to TAP plastics and have then cut two peices just a bit larger then the doc.

Then I was thinking of drilling holes in each corner and have some nice fitting to screw in to keep it together. Then use a small plate stand or similar device to display in in the case.

      Regards,

Thanks for advice. This may seem silly, but I'd rather keep my stuff original. It's a little nitpick thing I have I guess.

same here, if i make a display i like it to be original all the way. I made my collectionroom completely dark, no light ever comes in, the only light is from the detolf lambs ;-)

now to your question, as you got your detolf probably from ikea you may want to check out their display area, there are some nice lists there. I prefer the dark black lists they sell, they come in all sizes and are not very expensive ;-)

they also got a few bigger gold classic looking lists that are perfect for framing an "urkunde". When putting that on top of the detolf it looks great, ill try and post a picture later to show you

Alright thanks, but I'm not sure we have the same things at IKEA, me being in the US and all.

I guarantee you, those lamps in your display case aren't going to help your docs in the long run. Of course you're better off, but it'll still damage the documents.
And I'm not advocating throwing away the originals after you scan them, just keep them in a shoebox or something. You can take 'em out anytime.
But - that's just my thoughts. Your collection, your money, your display. Everybody is different, and that's what makes the world go around!
