Let's Do the Time Warp!...Show your realistic displays

We have had the "Artistic Crosses" thread & we have had the "Mannequins" thread, both of which are outstanding, but I think that it is about time we had a new one on a similar vein.
What I would like you to do is; photograph all or part of your collection in such a way as to make the viewer think "Mein Gott!!! what year is it?". We are all quick enough to slag off Stephen Spielberg, Oliver Hirschbiegel, Wolfgang Peterson, Sir Dickie Attenborough et al for their cinematic anacronisms, so let's see if we can do better...I have faith in you o' brother (and sister) collectors.
I shall start the ball rolling with a few example pictures that I prepared earlier...unfortunately, the modest content of my collection limits me somewhat, to representations of the humble studio portrait, but your contributions can be of any subject in any period in any theatre, as long as everything in the picture is (or at least appears to be) in harmony with said period. Your contributions do not have to be mannequin based, although I would like to see some 'action' shots , nor do they have to be monochrome or deckle edged. All you award collectors can get in on the act too, as, with a little imagination, something like eg. an Ostmedaille with a packet & citation sitting on an old desk beside a fountain pen can evoke a certain period atmosphere. I also know that some of you have period looking display cabinets which could be incorporated into some form of award distributor's or Quartermaster's diorama. Also, why not don your uniforms & equipment to venture out into the fields for a photo shoot with an understanding & camera competent friend.
I want this thread to be more about the individual contributor's imagination & less about the Mega-Bucks that it takes to have even a small collection nowadays & don't worry about your photographic skills, as people took out of focus photos in the '40s too.
Things that I do not paticularly wish to see on this thread (for no other reason than that they have been amply covered elswhere) include :-
Faceless mannequins (unless it looks like a period tailor's shop).
War badges strewn willy-nilly accross a bed of russet maple leaves or crisp Dollar bills.
    The ubiquitous 'Detolf'
uPVC window frames at the edge of the picture
    Mickey Mouse duvet covers
And...Please, Please, Please...None of those soul destroying, oversized pictures that, after taking 10 minutes to load, cause the viewer to have to scroll their browser up & down & side to side in order to see what has been posted & which make every comment on the whole page annoyingly difficult to read.
Finally, I would welcome criticism of the contributions (including any that I may post) as this thread could also serve as a learning curve, so I would discourage anyone who is going to throw a hissy fit for being told that their mannequin looks 'gay' for example, from posting.

C'mon...Let's see what you can do!

This one was taken in black & white & then colourized...I'm not too happy with the result though. I need a bit more practice.

I played about with my camera settings to try and get that washed out colour effect on this one...

This thread is interesting in that it requires a large amount of creativity to be truly effective. I hope more posts will be forthcoming.

That's the stuff . You have really captured a moment there.

He really does look tired...Your use of lighting adds to the realism

I hope you don't mind, but, I have taken the liberty of superimposing your FJ over a picture of Cassino, just to show what else can be done...If you have any objections I will remove it.

I forgot to mention that the 'mannequin' in the first two pictures is nothing more than a couple of pillows & some rolled-up T-shirts with an airbrushed, polystyrene head.
