The uniform is coming with this type field cap patterned after a German M43 (they were allies of course).
As far as I understand officers and enlisted Bulgarian M43's were identical. The course wool matches the uniform!
This particular cap has crossed cannon button for artillery and tank troops.
The Captain's uniform on the other hand is Infantry branch piped...

          Great uniform, cap and photo's!!

I bought an identical mint cap last Ciney, they where worn only by the soldiers and officers from the Armored Brigade and the motorised infantry.
Most of the soldiers weared german panzerwraps.

Do you have inside pic's of the cap?

          greetings,

            Thanks Coco!
Not much German to shop in my latest update...things are tight and German getting expensive but here 2 NSKOV caps (disabled veterans association),
a standard Blue German one and another grey-blue cap which I got from another WAF member (obtained stripped).

What's intersting is that its a German pattern cap made in Bratislava, Slovakia which the Germans called Pressburg.

Web image of a poster announcing a German veterans rally held in "Pressburg" (=Bratislava in, Slovakia) in 1940,
matching the cap's maker information! (address)

This 1943 Canadian tailored (Montreal tag) Australian RAAF uniform is coming my way. It was most likely purchased in Canada
by a Australian pilot while going through the Commonwealth flight school training program in Canada.
The cloth is typical dark blue Australian pattern and interestingly the cloth (bolt) originates from the USA based on another tag I found!
Set comes with some of the pilots paperwork (Ferry command - bomber service)
It will nicely compliment my Dutch exiled aviator uniform, also tailored in Canada!

USAAF Flight School related insignia (Instructor and Cadet related)
Leather school patch is a repro...The Flight academy (local airport) was founded in 1941
and is 10 minutes from my house.

Note extremely rare USAFI instructor's sleeve patch! (=United States Army Flight Instructor),
The Airforce of course still being a branch of the Army (until 1947)

Continuing the flight theme! Some C.A.P. material. = Civil Air Patrol.
One of the more exciting duties of these volunteer civilian pilots (besides search and rescue) was patrolling the US waters against German U-Boots. In 1943 they were even arming their planes with bombs supplied by the military in an effort to sink enemy sightings. Just reporting these enemy activities took too long and the subs would slip away by the time real military planes arrived...

Note C.A.P. pilot's wings as well as very rare Pilot Instructor's wings on the opposite chest!
The scroll above the US shield has engraved the word INSTRUCTOR...(hidden by the camera flash...)
