To answer your question Fallschirmjaeger, most pictures of these items have only been shown on this thread (which is my collection = Nick) . The pictures have been posted by other waf members (like helmetbuyers) on my behalf. Nick

Thanks for the thumbs up on my collection Finnish lion. Yes I would like to see that website, e-mail or PM me. Regarding your question, the last picture(as explained) is a Hungarian mannequin in a parka. See explanation below the picture. (post 253 and 254). Nick

Hi Wessels. Thanks for your comments! Yes a "stacked" sleeve all right! with the Kurland cuff title.
I'll be honest, that's one of my "creations" (read "restored" uniforms...) Its an original uniform and original insignia... so its a representation of what an Estonian Feldgendarme could have looked like in the Kurland Kessel. (Kessel = pocket). This battle is also known as "The Battle of the European SS" for the large number of Waffen SS Foreign Volunteers engaged on the German side. (like Nordland,Nederland, Danes, Latvian Leg., Estonian Leg. etc...).
Yes a busy sleeve allright, but far from unusual. A lot of purist collectors on this site stay away from put together uniforms but I'm not against it... Most uniforms were totally stripped of their "evil" insignia after the war and its really rare to find an untouched one (some people call it "unmessed"), but I see it as an opportunity to restore these pieces and bring them back alive! (representing something with a story. And as long as good insignia is used and "mated" with a good uniform (the canvas) why not? Beats reproduction pieces often displayed in museums! Thanks again for commenting! Nick
