    It's a Start

I've been collecting for a couple of years now but up until 8 months or so I only had a couple of items. Thought I would show a few here. There is a bit more but I have to figure out how to resize the rest of the photos. Thanks to Imperial Quest for fixing these up for me. I got most of this stuff off of the Estand. First is my EK collection. Mostly 1914's but a few 1939's in there also. Here's what's in the cabinet:

    Top Row:

1914 EK2 unmarked with Hindenberg Cross on parade mount
1914 EK2 marked with a square punch, zinc core
    1914 EK2 maker mark unreadable
    1914 EK2 marked F
    1914 EK2 unmarked

    2nd Row (2 crosses)

    1914 EK2 marked KO
    1914 EK1 marked KO

    3rd Row

    1914 EK2 (with ribbon) unmarked
1914 EK1 unmarked TR Era made
1939 EK1 unmarked but said to be mm11 Grossman & Co on this forum. Nice!
    1939 EK2 marked 65
    1939 EK2 marked 25
    1939 EK2 unmarked 24 wide frame

    4th Row

    1914 EK2 marked V or Y
    1914 EK2 marked CD800
1914 EK2 double marked can't tell what. With 1939 EK2 Spange Nice Setup!
    1939 EK2 Shinkelform A
    1939 EK2 marked 44
    1939 EK2 unmarked Souval

      Here's my Wound Badge collection. Mostly Imperial ones but a few 1939's in there. Also have a miniture Imperial, a mini 1939 stickpin, a 1939 stickpin and a cut out for variety. The 1939 are;

      Black marked 88
Silver unmarked but a beautiful Tombak badge. One of my favorites.
Gold or Silver, not sure. has a gold pin and some traces of gold on the back. Marked 30.

My cased medals. The KVK1 is marked 4. The 40 year service is in great shape.

Here's my mantel at home. A few armbands and a small banner. The Imperial grouping there has a really nice 1914 EK2 marked Y. this cross has a beautiful patina and look. Also have a few photos there.

An Imperial EK2 award certificate I framed up myself. I also have the identification booklets for this soldier.

Nice collection, not bad at all for only a couple of years collecting.

              Regards,
              Adolph.

Here's a better shot of that unmarked Grossman EK1 along with my Imperial zinc core. That EK1 is probably my favorite piece. It has such a nice look to it. I got it and the zinc core from the same member here on the forum. That's all for now because the rest of my photos are not resized. More to follow when I figure it out. I know it's not like some of the collections you see here but it's a start for now. Thanks for looking and to all the members here who have helped me out and sold me most of this stuff! Steve

Most of this was put together this summer, but I'm back to school right now so I'm cutting back. I have some more to follow. That's the highlights though. Steve

                        Steve,
Nicely done. I really like your crosses selection.

                        Zinc stinks!

I think the crosses came out good in the case too. It took awhile to get the right look and crosses of course. The cases are called shadow boxes and come in different sizes. The best ones are at a craft store called Micheals. Thanks guys.
