    New Helmet Display Case

    Sorry for the quality of the photos (indoors, without a flash, and the glass does bad things to my already limited photography skills!) but I wanted to get a few photos of this helmet display up before it goes off to the customer in Tennessee tomorrow:

                Ohh! Awsome helmet! Always than i see a German helmet i be sad. And it´s not becus they are ugly. It´s becus i want one soo mutch and they are soo nice. Your helmet is in perfect state. Be happy!

                  I did this one in oak, but any wood is available. Walnut would be a good choice as well, I think.

                    Like the case, LOVE the helmet


                    I think oak is an "appropriate" wood for any 3rd Reich display cases

                            thats a nice case, i wonder how a darkwood would look, like cherry. I use football helmet cases for mine, like these in the pic below but slighty larger, i get them from my local sports store and and pay around $55 a case. Ill take a few pics to show later

                              Nice woodwork Skipper. I worked at the woodshop at Wright-Patt AFB a few years ago and learned how to make shawdow boxes and various cases. Looking forward to returning to the States and getting back into woodworking.
                              Once again, nice case.
