    Some of my stuff

Here is a little "tableau" I put together the other day. The MP40 is one of those Japanese pellet firing replicas. Hard to believe it's mostly plastic. Everything else is real. Incidently, the helmet was found in a local thrift store as was the water pattern parka. More about that later.

How much does the MP40 weigh, in your estimation? I have an MGC but it's rather heavy to put on a mannequin

          Gene,

I weighed the thing and it is exactly five pounds with replica leather sling attached. I was wrong about it shooting pellets. It actually simulates the full auto firing of the real thing using special brass "cartridges" filled with a special cap. Firing pin is actually in the barrel chamber and ignites the round from the front! I've never tried it out. Go to the web and type in "MP40" and you will find sites that show demonstrations.

These are made by Marushin and used to be fairly common on eBay usually selling in the $400.00 range. I bided my time and snagged one for alot less. As of today there is only one for sale and it is up to $125.00.

          Hope this helps.

It does. I may sell my MGC MP40 but I really like it; it's just too heavy to sling around the neck on my Fallschirmj******228;ger mannequin so it's just been sitting on the floor, upright. I'll keep scoping out ebay, and maybe look for one made of resin plastic (if it's any lighter, I don't know). If it isn't a problem, can you send me the link to the one you won on ebay? PM is fine--
