New guy on the Block

Well guys my name is Mark Holmes from Falkirk near Stirling / Scotland . I am pretty new to collecting and at the moment am torn between the WW1 and WW2 era , personally it is the cross that i like rather than a specific period.
I have added a couple of pics of my collection so far , not including the 6 new crosses i have acquired in the lsat week or 2 ...
All opinions gratefully accepted ...

As well as the Pour le merit and the one to the left of the mothers cross i think that possibly the 1957 in the black case are the only fakes i have but if anyone spots any others then please say so as , as i said i am prety new to this.

How long have you been collecting? your collection is getting on very well, I especially like your german WW2 Iron crosses. The only item I can see that might be bad other than the items you said is your WW1 EK1, photo's of the back will tell me it's a reproduction or an original.

Actually i think you may be right , i always had my doubts about it but i forgot it was in there . I have been collecting for less than a year but am becoming obsessed with it . I recently started buying from the forum too which reduces my chances of picking up any more fakes but i have managed to pass of most of the ones i was unsure about anyway. > have 2 more 1939 cosses both
EK1`s i will post pics tomorrow with pics of the back of the WW1 EK1 .

I'm looking forward to seeing the pictures tomorrow, the one you were refering to left of the Mothers cross is it the Iron cross or the PAB 25.

It was in fact the iron cross as it apears to be made of something other than silver and i am not certain that it is of 3 piece construction. Maybe im wrong . It was in fact the very first Iron Cross i ever owned and it was free with a hat that i purchased .
With reference to you question was it the cross or the PAB 25 . Do you think that the PAB is fake or were you going to say that it wasnt. You got me worried now...

And this is 1 i purchased from ebay recently , i am going to start a discussion about it with regards to finding a maker and whether it is authentic or not so any help is gratefully appreciated.

The Iron cross you bought from ebay looks like an authentic souval (L/58). your new 65 has a lot of character, its a beauty.

Wicked news guys , i was always a bit weary about buying stuff on ebay but it seem that i have made a good choice . Originally i bought a set of 2 ww1 with a photo from my new german friend on ebay . I then went on to make private purchase of 4 bayonetts and a selection of tinnies and 2 medals one of which was the cross above and the other was a Cased KVK1 with Swords with the inner missing but all in all still another piece to my collection .
I am now being offered a beauty of a Deutsches Kreuz in
Gold for my consideration but am still a bit weary as i know nothing of them , i dont know much more about EK1`s and 2`s but at least i can just about spot a fake now with all the help from you guys in here.
Any pointers on this subject would also be appreciated..Stomper
