    Finally, my modest collection

I finally got around to capturing an image of my puny collection. I did it with a disposable camera and CDR processing.
It ain't much in the grand scheme of things but it's all mine and I'm pleased as punch to be able to display it.
It rests in a nice, solid mahogany box I made specifically for it (that is now way too small for the collection that keeps on growing). In fact it's missing the Gallipoli Star that I just received from Detlev
    Thanks,
    Eric Gaumann

        Eric, nice, very nice.

It does look like the display is getting too small.
Are those DDR medals in the upper right corner?

            Thanks

Thank you all for your kind words. I'm really pleased with my "goodies". Sometimes I just sit here and stare at them Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. Maybe that's the beer....

Yep, 5 DDR's in the right hand corner, plus I scored a 'big' DDR collection off ebay last week that should be rollin' in sometime soon. Time to make another box.
            Thanks,
            Eric Gaumann

              what the heck....

Here's a shot of my Soviet collection.
Not included are a bunch more medals that I've just recently purchased. Time for yet another box.
              Thanks,

I like the way you display them, very clean/orderly. I have some Soviet stuff too, it looks nice and you can buy post-war issues for next to nothing on Ebay, especially from Israeli or Russian sellers.

Nice collection, Eric. Looks like you've got over 100 years of German medal history there, from Wilhelm's Centennial medal to a Bundeswehr Kreuz. I also like the progression in Sportsbadges from DRA to DRL to DSB. Did you get the Bundesverdienstkreuz from Steinhauer and Luek in Luedenscheid? I understand they also make the DSB badges. Cheers, Chris B.

                    Eric,

May I see the reverse of your Luftwaffe Summer tunic eagle?

Update. Just for the heck of it.

Since I finished off a roll of film I figured I'd show off a bit.

                        part2

The previous box was of mahogany and teak construction.
This, the WW1 collection is of mahogany alone.
And no, the PLM ain't authentic.

                            You sick of this yet?
                            Tough!

This is the standard Sub Clock mounted to a Mahogany Mantle Clock stand. With a few Soviet submarine related goodies.
One of my first projects and still one of the best.
