like it was in 44..... diorama killingspree

    hey everyone

here some pics of the diorama i've started to build in a local museum with a small part of world war 2 history.
My collection of german uniforms ( luftwaffe ground crew ) will be displayed here. It is an copy of an original dutch workers home in of late '44 begin 1945 when german luftwaffe fallschirmjÄger ground crews had to take action against the british and the canadian soldiers in my home town of Roggel ( holland ) .

original wooden floor is used. this floor we striped of an old house from the 1930's and wich has never bin removed since then.also an original war time window is used wich we attached to the wall of the buidling it self

an old stove also from that period

this side is not yet finished as you can see.

    the luftwaffe candle

more pics and stuff to come, this is only the beginning

Looks like it will be most impressive! Is the museum located in Holland? Forgive my ignorance.but I dont know where Etienne is located. Are you going to blow up a photo of an outside "view" to put in the window to give an impression of the outdoors?

            exactly !!!
these pics will be put behind the windows to give a more bigger effect !
pics where taken last januarie btw

the hole diorama will be full of small details, like a mouse out of a crack in the floor, an original german pants ( underpant ) hanging on a line at the stove. the flickering lights in the stove that makes the fire more realistic.
            al that kind of stuff

              Great idea about these details
( I know a collector in your neighbourhood with such a beautifull lifelike diorama ,hahahaha )

A diorama is something special and upgrades your collection. (space, investment, knowledge and workingtime are the keywords for a well build up diorama)

              This one is going fine.

Will the diorama be "open" to the public..I mean..or behind glass? I dont think here a museum would be so trusting as to leave it "open"..I'd be afraid some "yahoo" would throw paint on it or something..or some half wit kid put chewing gum on it like one dumb wit did in chicago..on a million dollar painting!

if someone wants to damage stuff, he can always do damage, but we are trying to make it as safe as possible.
