Last photo of the day, but not the least important!
This is my fathers "wall" when he was a U.S. Marine serving in Vietnam. He was a Scout Sniper in the I Corps area.........needless to say he saw some action while there!
All the photos are of him, the medal display case has some of his awards and "Scout Sniper" uniform tab which I am told is a rare item.
He told me that the item he treasures most is his Combat Action ribbon.
Thanks for looking and I'll be sure to post more pics as the room "evolves".
The frames for the docs are actually cheap black plastic frames you can get at the "Michaels" craft store, also Walmart has them sometimes. They are called "Format" frames and are quite handy and easy to use and come in all sizes.
Without a doubt one of the classiest, most well-thought and planned displays I have ever seen. Great to watch from conception to reality. And top-shelf condition too. I will grab some DVDs, a case of cold ones, and we can watch the Jets-Pats. Oh wait, we won that one...
Marc
Thanks again for keeping my post alive, I'm very happy with the way things have come out. I hope to post more photos in the coming week as the room continues to evolve with new additions.
Mike, your room is inspiring to all, makes me wish i had a house so i could have a bunker of my own. Have to wait for that but thanks for showing us how a bunker should look. Simply inspiring. Matt
