What does your wife think of your corner of the house? My junk has been relegated to a room with a locking door my wife can hide from the guests . The dark "little secret". I guess the only reason she tollerates it is because there's a mix of German, American and Japanese..that way she doesn't have to explain to guests who stuble upon the bunker that her husband is not a Nazi. "He collects all WW2 stuff....he just like the German stuff more"- my wife.

What a wonderfully brilliant collection. Brilliant doesn't even do your collection justice.
      I second this post lol

My wife is the biggest surporter of my collection. She really enjoys the dispay and items. She does however have her own teddybear and toy collection and runs her own forum on that subject. Jacques

How about a close-up of that Panzer-Pioniere frame.

Hello Jacques, been a long time since I first saw your collection and I just love it. At first sight I decided to go your way, and even my collection is rather small, I decided to organize my room in the same fashion. Today I finished first frame for my KM parade jacket, as per your notes in this thread.

Those ribbons are not mentioned to be there, but my parade long service medal is on it's way.

Also, that SWB is there as there was something o that place, maybe Minesweeper or... But the look is there...

                Thank you again, my friend!!!

Your display looks fantastic. I wish it was mine. One cannot ask for a bigger compliment than to see a display of this quality inspired by my efforts. Jacques

I have not given any attention to individual items in this thread, but I thought I would share my favorite SS headgear. I just got the arty ss shiftmutze and it is one of the rarerst items out there. I have only ever seen one untouched combat worn example with a southache for a SS Officer. Jacques

Rude word you seem to have most of the Third Reich in this collection. This has become an important collection of originals, and the fact that some of the items are actually linked to people is even more important. Out standing stuff.

Passing the schiftmutse to me was the kindest collector too collector act that I have experienced in all my years of collecting. True gentleman and collector. It was well worth selling a lot of stuff to be able to own this one.Jacques
