Great stuff Gary, I am a wee bit envious of your Austrian Anscluss & Frozen Meat medals (if you ever get bored looking at them give me a shout ).
Would a lot of single mounted awards actually be tailors' samples?

Very nice! I have seen more than a couple of bars constructed by "Stempel Reich". I have one myself, albeit a two place bar. Have you seen others besides the one you show?

Dear John, Chet and Mag,

John, the Russian Front was the hardest one to get. I have only seen 2 others in years of collecting, and all of them were in less than mint condition. Although some singles could have been tailor samples, I think most of the bars I have were ones that could have been worn. I have seen some single mounts that would have been impossible to have been worn alone (such as a single mounted 40 year long service medal) since they would have to have had other medals mounted with them i.e. WWI awards etc for a guy with 40 years service.

Chet, I have only seen 1 other Stempel Reich single mounted medal, another WMC w/ swords. I love the labeled pieces, esp ones with the metal tags. Please post yours if you get time.

Mag, I should have labeled the EKs better. The 2nd one is a Round 3 EK2.

Nice collection Gary - I too would like to get the Ost Med. I just missed the one offered up on the estand not too long ago. I need the Memel as well.
