well Guys, thats it for now. I do have a very nice gas cape pouch and tent stake on the way. both MM/dated ofcourse and a replacement zelt rope which retains most of the black dye as it would originally be issued. I know of a '43 dated gas cape that I have my eyes on also but still havent made a final on it yet. but as I stated if you know of anything PLEASE let me know of it. it would be greatly appreciated. and once again, thank you to all who have helped me in various ways so one day I may end this quest. (then on to the next one... ) enjoy and happy collecting! Glenn

Very nice Glen, almost there! If only you liked that late ugly eagle, my tunic and those pants would be a great maker match. -Ron

believe me Ron. if your eagle was the earlier version you would already be shipping it out to me! but I still do love your tunic. it will make someone very happy. Glenn

Well Glenn, you're doing very well I must say!
The patient you have in choosing your items is something most collectors don't have!

I hope that will achieve your goal soon, so we can enjoy another great mannequin set-up.

                        Keep up the good work!

                        Cheers

                          Fantastic collection Glenn

It was worth the wait. That a-frame looks superb! If you get time further pictures of it would be cool.

One quick question, why specifically 1943 stuff?

                          Cheers

ya know. I get asked that question all the time and the only real reason I have is because I love the M43 service tunic and I really am not a very wealthy man so this way I felt it would take me a long time to complete a full front liner with vgc pieces yet it gives me that thrill of the hunt! as far as historical purposes, none. although personally I do like when hardships are the norm and survival is the only option. I notice that when humans have it too good they take things (life in general) for granted. We Americans know that all to well compared to others who sometimes dont have any certainty. I am a happy go lucky man but I also know I am lucky to be who I am and have what I do. these soldiers (and others also) didnt always have my luxery... Glenn

almost forgot, thanks for the comments Guys. I really am and always was a fanatic of militaria from all time periods with the emphasis in WWI/WWII German infantry. sometimes I wish I was born in another time and place to be able to join a movement that "seemed" right at the time.
